After a Year of Hard Work, Students Take the Final Test

After a year of working hard in advanced placement (AP) courses, students finally took the College Board-sponsored tests.  These courses enable students to start on an advanced level course in college or to place out of certain courses entirely.  Every teacher's curriculum has been reviewed and approved by the college board.

What have we taken so far?  AP Calculus (Mrs. Carol Davidoff), AP Chemistry (Mrs. Shira Kupfer), AP English Literature and Composition (Mrs. Brendy Siev), and AP U.S. History (Mrs. Cheryl Epstein). But wait!  There's one more--AP Psychology, taught by Mrs. Ettie Wachs--coming up this Tuesday.

Stay tuned for super scores, scheduled to arrive this summer!

Yom Ha'atzmaut Program Delicious, Informative, and Highly Successful
While we cannot physically take our students to the Holy Land (though we really want to--in fact, nearly 100% of our students will be attending seminary in Israel next year), we can enjoy some sabra food right here.  Under the festive balloons and at the lovely tables, students created their own falafel (including "chips," or French fries) and savored chocolate chip cookies.  Students enjoyed the meal, sponsored by the Twersky, Meadvin, Abboudi and Frankel families (thank you!) in honor of Yom Ha'atzmaut.  The meal included a wonderful video presentation about Israel narrated by Rabbi Berel Wein.
